Our Second Home

Amanda and I have been friends for years.

We met the very first day of college and have been good friends ever since. Amanda's HOA was hosting an Easter Egg Hunt on Saturday morning. We already had a play date set up for the afternoon at the splash pad by their house, so we packed up and spent the day at the Ghaemmaghamis. We will often head to their house in the morning and end up spending all day there. KK naps just fine at their house and it gives us some down time to hang out with friends, so it's a win win.

When we got to the egg hunt, I was amazed at how much stuff they had there. Music, dancing, games, bounce houses, face painting, cotton candy and even the Easter Bunny also made an appearance. As expected, KK was terrified. As the Easter Bunny came to give her a high five she yelled at him. Nais was okay at first and then he got scared. They were very organized with the egg hunt and so the 1-3 year olds got to go first. They counted down from 10 and off the kids went!! KK and Nais both got about a dozen eggs. Yay for them!!

After the hunt, I brought Kaylynn over to the bounce house but she wasn't interested. She just stood there and whined while all the kids bounced around her. I totally thought she would have loved it too. Oh well. Next time.

Nais managed to sweet talk his daddy into getting him some cotton candy and boy oh boy, did he enjoy that!

As always, we tried to capture a family photo. As we all know, it's never easy.

After we walked around a bit, we headed back to the house to feed the kids some lunch and put them down for a nap.

After nap we had our big play date at the splash pad.

Kaylynn and Naison's friends Chase, Walker, Mason & Harper all came along for the fun. Walker, Mason & Harper's moms went to ASU with me and Amanda so it's nice being able to keep in touch via play date. :) I was too busy socializing to take pictures but Tyson did take a couple. He's not quite as paparazzi as I am.

After the splash pad we went back to the Ghaemmaghamis and Nais and KK played some more!! They are seriously best buddies and play so well together. Although I think Naison might have a little crush on KK because he was chasing her around kissing her. Too cute!

It was a long day but it was so much fun spending it at our second home. Can't wait to do it again.
