To Infinity...and BEYOND

I'm not quite sure how it happened, but KK has recently kicked the Dora obsession and moved on to Toy Story.  It's fairly easy to find Dora goodies at the dollar store, but Toy Story on the other hand, that stuff is not cheap.  I made the mistake of promising KK a Buzz Lightyear doll after she was playing with Naison's.  I had no idea the dang doll was $40!  So I had to come up with some sort of way for her to earn it, as opposed to me just giving it to her.  So we made a sticker chart for good behavior.  It has made the world of difference in her attitude lately.  She has been such an angel and we are having such a great time with her.

Once she got her 5 stickers, we got her a Buzz doll.  Then she earned 5 more and got Woody and Bullseye.  She brings those dolls everywhere!

I cannot believe KK is going to bed without fussing, eating her dinner, NOT throwing tantrums, etc.  I hope this sticker chart lasts!

I'm pretty sure she has watched Toy Story 2 and 3 about a dozen times each.  Luckily Ty and I love the movie so we all end up watching it together.  Every. Single. Day.  :)

Day 4 - Gemma's Birthday

On the Gentiles last day of their visit, it happened to be Gemma's birthday!

We went to the train park in the morning to play.  This might just be KK's favorite place.

The girls loved the carousel and train.

Amanda was nice enough to make some cupcakes for Gemma.  The kids loved them!

Best Buds

That night we got together with Scrappy's family and had a big birthday feast at Rustler's Rooste.  It was a lot of fun.  The girls loved everything about it.

Dancing and cotton candy, oh my!

Day 3 - Royals and Girls Night Out

On Day 3 we went to a Royals Spring Training game.  Amanda stayed behind with the boys, and instead, Scrappy's mom (MaGi) joined us!

The weather was absolutely perfect.  We headed out to Surprise Stadium a bit early to save a spot in the lawn.  When we got there, KK was sure to point out the carousel.  I figured I would never get her off the carousel but luckily we were able to convince her to wait until Gemma arrived to ride it.  She obliged.

During the 8th inning there was a special message for Gemma wishing her a happy birthday!  It was so cool!

Ring Pops

I thought since we got there about an hour early that we would have to leave early but that wasn't the case.  KK lasted the entire game.  I was so proud!

Day 2 - SS and Pool Time

On day 2 we went with Amanda to Stroller Strides in the morning.  KK isn't much of a stroller girl so I spent quite a bit of time chasing her away from the playground instead of exercising.  It sure was fun though.

After SS we had lunch and put the kids down for a nap at Amanda's house.  They must have been exhausted because they slept for 3 hours!

After nap we headed to Amanda's community pool.  At first it was beautiful out, but then the wind picked up and the clouds came out so it got to be a bit chilly.  Of course, the kids didn't even notice!

Snack Time

Since Vafa was on call, we all decided to slumber at Amanda's so us girls could chit chat and catch up.

Day 1 - Visiting Friends

Day 1 of the Gentile visit consisted mostly of visiting old friends from college.

In the morning, we went to Anton's yoga while Amanda's mom and grandma watched all 5 kids.  She is BRAVE.

After yoga, we went to the Children's Museum to play.  Since we went during nap/lunch time it was empty so we had the place to ourselves.  It was awesome.  Skipping naps wasn't awesome, but we had too many things we wanted to fit in that day so we just rolled with the punches.

After the museum, we went to visit Danny at his yogurt shop, Zen Zen Yogurt.  It was delish, but since the kids were without nap it was somewhat of a disaster.  Lots of tantrums and whining (mostly by KK).

Afterwards we all came back to my house for dinner and playing in the yard.

After dinner we bathed the kids.  My friend taught me about a cool thing to do in the bath...glow sticks.  The kids loved it!  I tried to get a photo of it but I don't know how to work my camera so this was the best I could do.

As we were winding down that night, the girls watched Toy Story 3 and had some dessert.  It was one heck of a day and all of us were so exhausted!
