Merry Christmas
This year we decided to spend Christmas Eve and Christmas Day with my dad and stepmom in Calabasas. KK had a great time playing with her cousins and seeing the family.
My dad continued traditions as well. Growing up he'd always take us to Candy Cane Lane in Woodland Hills to look at the Christmas lights. He did the same for Kaylynn. She really enjoyed it!
After we got home from looking at the lights, Grandma helped get out some cookies and milk for Santa.
She also wrote a note and left it out for Santa.
This lucky girl got an AWESOME dollhouse from Grandma and Grandpa! She loved it!
She also loved her cousin Gwynn's ukelele. She was putting on shows for us all day long singing Twinkle Twinkle Little Star and Itsy Bitsy Spider. It was adorable.
We had a great day at my dad's. He made us a huge yummy breakfast and an amazing dinner. I love being able to spend Christmas with family. Thanks for hosting dad!
We were supposed to have our Christmas when we got home from our vacation but we were so exhausted we decided to save her presents for her birthday. Luckily she's young enough to not notice. :)

She also got a cool castle from her Aunt Gigi and Uncle Brian.
Cousins Gwynn and MacKay were so good with KK. KK loves playing with them too! I wish they lived closer so they could babysit!

Christmas with Mimi
We had an early Christmas with Mimi this year. My mom has lots of traditions that she has started for Kaylynn.
First off we went to the Elks club to see Santa. It was raining and cold so we skipped the light parade and had popcorn instead. Then she jumped around and patiently waited for Santa.
I was finally able to get her to tell him what she wanted for Christmas. Her response...a box of candy canes and Lalaloopsie.
The video is hard to see but I thought it was worth posting. Luckily my paparazzi self created some light in the video.
Mimi Santa left her a stocking and scooter!

KK likes the concept of Santa, she's just not sure of the actual guy. She was very cautious and didn't want him getting too close.

Of course she LOVED Mrs. Claus. She had yummy candy canes!
Writing Santa a note.
Decorating cookies and leaving them for Santa.
Feeding the reindeer.

Santa left KK a note
This was by far her favorite toy!
Putting makeup on mommy.
Reading "Dora Christmas" with daddy.
Lalaloopsie time!
We also went to visit my grandma, so KK's great grandma who she calls GG.
GG got her a Strawberry Shortcake. That was my favorite when I was a little girl.
We went to walk around the street fair and saw that they had horsey rides! KK was SO excited.
She even got to feed a horse a carrot.
We had a great early Christmas with my mom but the next stop was Calabasas to see my dad for Christmas Eve and Christmas Day!

Anniversary Trip
My mom had offered to watch KK so Ty and I could celebrate our 8th anniversary and have some time away. I had originally thought of going to Vegas but then I realized (in my old age) that Laughlin was closer, cheaper and less crowded so we opted to go there instead. Ty and I took off for a couple days for a very relaxing anniversary trip. When we got there they upgraded us to the penthouse suite (Laughlin style). I learned how to play craps, Ty got lucky with Let it Ride, we enjoyed numerous "free" cocktails, slept and slept and slept, ordered room service and also had a very romantic dinner at the Range. We had such a great time together. Love him. So much.

Ugly Sweater Baby-Que
Two of our good friends in the "crew" are pregnant with boys! Erin with number 2 and Kerry with number 3! They are both due right around KK and Ty's birthday. I'm crossing my fingers that one of them has their boy on either the 21st or 23rd. We have so many girls around, that it will be fun adding some boys to the crew.
Kali and Tonya hosted a super fun Ugly Christmas Sweater Baby-Que. Anyone who knows us, knows we are suckers for themed parties. Ty, KK and I all sported ugly Christmas outfits. I didn't think I'd be able to find her a sweater but I got lucky.
They had some amazing games lined up too. I'm not a person for games, but these were fun! Both Ty and I won a game too. Ty won the chugging contest which was by far the most fun! We all had to chug 6 ounces of beer in a baby bottle. First one to finish, won! Ty was a champ and won. :) I almost got sick. I had the biggest air bubble in my tummy. Now I know why babies fuss.

There was a coloring station set up in the front room. The kids loved that!
The winners of the ugliest outfits went to Travis and Kerry. I can see why.
Love these two goofballs!
The night would not be complete without a group picture.
Of course...silly time!
(SO mad it's blurry!)
Big congrats to Erin and Kerry. I can't wait to meet your little boys!
