To begin our week long vacation/tour of Cali we went straight to SLO. The first place KK wanted to go was the beach so we went to Pismo! Pismo is (I think) the only beach you can drive on so we took full advantage and took the truck on the beach to watch the kite boarders.
KK was dying to dig with her shovel and bucket so we decided to park and head to the pier. KK was in absolute heaven! She was running all over chasing birds and running in and out of the waves. The water temperature was in the 50s which is too cold for this mama but not too cold for KK. It didn't phase her one bit!

After playing on the beach for a little bit we went to have lunch on the pier.

We had such a great day at the beach! I'm already looking forward to our next trip to Pismo.
