Our little KK is sick. She woke up Sunday morning very congested/snotty, had a terrible cough and had a fever. Plus, she was waking up crying in the middle of the night. All. Night. Long. It hasn't gotten better over the past two days, so we decided enough is enough, it's time to go to the doctor. I have been on jury duty for the past 3 weeks so our schedule has been thrown off quite a bit and I don't have any freedom to take KK to the doctor. Tyson was kind enough to step in and take her after school today. At the doctor she had a 102.1 temp and they found an ear infection in both ears. She is back on antibiotics and we have to use both Tylenol and Motrin as well as Little Nose decongestion drops and saline drops. That will help with her icky nose in the mornings. Kaylynn was not a fan of that whole drop/medicine process tonight, but she survived. She already woke up once and she has only been down for 2 hours. This could be a long night as Dr. Campbell said this sickness will peak on day 4, which will be tomorrow. We shall see.
I refuse to take pictures of her while she is sick, because, let's be honest, she doesn't look her best. Her eyes are so sad and her nose is so red, so here is a picture from last week while we were having fun in the bath.
Check out KK's best Gene Simmons impersonation!
Dr. Campbell told us at our 1 year visit to take pictures soon because once KK starts walking, she will have bumps and bruises everywhere! Boy was she right! Check out the shiner on her chin.
