Nanna Fun

The Nannas sure know how to host guests.  Jess and I are HUGE, and when I say huge, I mean HUGE, Halloween fans.  Jess was so cute and decorated our room for us...with a tombstone and all!

Then we had an adults night out to go to one of the best haunted houses out there.  Boy, was this place rad!!

A visit wouldn't be complete without a bon fire and family dinner.  Jess brought out her inner Italian and made us some homemade gnocci with garden sauce.  It was to DIE for!

We also found time to go to the local park and enjoy the beautiful fall colors.

Fall isn't complete without some cider and donuts!

Zoo Boo

The Nannas live right around the corner from the Detroit Zoo so we were lucky enough to check it out and enjoy the brisk fall weather.  What's even better is that both Jess and I are obsessed with Halloween and the zoo was gearing up for Zoo Boo and was decorated accordingly.  It was spectacular!!  We piled both girls in the wagon and headed to see the animals.  Instantly they got out of the wagons and took off running.

Tepanyaki for Toddlers

We decided to take the girls out for a late dinner after we landed.  We knew we needed something clever to keep the girls entertained since it was already past bedtime so we hit up the local tepanyaki spot in Royal Oak.  The girls LOVED it!

 They loved the food too!

The best part was that the restaurant wasn't crowded so we brought the wagon inside and let the girls play in the corner while we enjoyed some adult time.

Girly Girls

The minute KK walked into the Nanna household, the girls were best of friends!  They headed down to the basement and immediately went to the dress up bin.  The girls loved pretending to be princesses!  I don't think I can fight it anymore...KK loves princesses!

It was so cool to see the girls instantly bond.
Not only do they look like sisters, but they act like them too!

Michigan or Bust!

Uncle Travis and Aunt Kali finally got married and we were lucky enough to be able to celebrate with them in Michigan!  We decided to make a vacation out of it and stayed in Detroit with common friends, the Nannas, who also have a 3 year old.  The girls had never met before, but I just KNEW they would be besties!

Ready to go!

Of course I had to get my typical Southwest photo.

KK handled the flight absolutely perfectly!  During the flight she watched her shows on the DVD player and munched on some snacks.  We are so lucky that she is a great traveler!
